Listing & LLC Setup
LLC Formation and Title Transfer
Why every Slivvy asset is held by an LLC
An LLC is the cleanest legal structure for fractional ownership. It limits liability, gives co-owners clearly defined membership interests, and lets Slivvy enforce the Operating Agreement consistently across all assets.
What Slivvy files for you
- Wyoming LLC formation — filed through our registered agent partner
- EIN — automated IRS application as part of formation
- Operating Agreement — generated from your listing structure and signed by every member
- Title transfer — handled with our title company partner (real estate) or DMV/USCG (vehicles, boats)
Why Wyoming?
Wyoming offers strong privacy, low annual fees, charging-order protection, and predictable LLC law. You don't need to live in Wyoming — the LLC's registered agent is in-state and Slivvy handles the address-of-record.
How long does it take?
- LLC formation: typically 1–3 business days
- EIN: usually same-day to 2 business days
- Title transfer: depends on asset type and state (real estate often 2–4 weeks; vehicles and boats usually faster)
Your listing can be built and reviewed during this period — it just won't go live until the LLC is formed and title is recorded.
Fees and ongoing costs
LLC formation and the first year of registered agent service are bundled into the listing onboarding fee. Annual Wyoming filing fees and registered agent renewals are paid from the LLC's reserve fund and split pro-rata across co-owners.
Existing LLC?
If your asset is already held by an LLC, you can keep it. Slivvy will review the existing operating agreement and, in most cases, recommend upgrading to a Slivvy-standard agreement so platform features work the same way they do for every other listing.
